All About Education!
In addition to performing and choreographing, Amelia is a passionate teacher of the arts. She has been teaching since high school, where she started as an assistant choreographer and director at CAST Children’s Theater. She has worked on numerous productions with them over the last several years. She also did a directed study with Christopher Shin her last semester of college on teaching and developing musical theater choreography, where she learned how to create an inclusive class environment and wrote her own syllabus.
The Jungle Book tour!
Recently, Amelia has toured with Missoula Children’s Theater as part of their Red Truck Tour Project. Over the course of 10 weeks, she and her tour partnered traveled across 7 states to bring The Jungle Book to a new community every week. They taught masterclasses in Improv, Miming, and Acting for ages 5-17. Not only that, they both donned the iconic Baloo The Bear suit!
